Chapter 1021 - 466: The Descent of the Twin Gods
Under Annie’s command, the Earth Dragon Beast began digging through the ice layer, while David, Reina, Sura, and Shuili followed close behind, warily watching the surroundings.
As they went deeper, the dangers within the Ice Abyss gradually revealed themselves—bone-piercing gales, shifting ice layers, and those unknown creatures lurking in the dark... Yet no matter how great the hardship or danger they met, they overcame them one by one with firm conviction and outstanding abilities.
At last, one day, after they crossed a vast expanse of icefield, a colossal iceberg appeared before their eyes.
Deep within this iceberg, a cave flickering with a mysterious radiance was quietly awaiting their arrival.
The four of them knew that was their destination on this journey—the Ice Abyss Altar.
They cautiously approached the cave entrance, alertly surveying every movement around them.
The deeper they went, the stronger the glow inside the cave became, and a mysterious, powerful force quietly began to stir within their hearts.
They knew the end of this journey was already within reach...
In the middle levels of the Ice Abyss, a deep ravine stretched across before the four of them. On one side of the ravine was an extreme-cold glacier, and on the other, seething lava, together forming a bizarre scene.
They knew that once they crossed this ravine, they would reach the Ice Abyss Altar, but the dangers within the chasm kept them from daring to let their guard down.
Just as they were carefully advancing, a deafening roar suddenly came from deep within the glacier.
Immediately after, a gigantic figure slowly awoke from the ice—that was a Frost Titan, a powerful creature with Tier Seven strength.
Its eyes flashed with a frigid, killing chill, as if they could freeze everything.
"Watch out!" David shouted, drawing his longsword as he prepared to fight.
The Frost Titan said nothing. With a sweep of its massive hand, several razor-sharp Ice Spears howled through the air toward the Earth Dragon Beast.
Though the Earth Dragon Beast was powerful, this sudden attack still caught it somewhat off guard.
The Ice Spears stabbed viciously into its forelimbs, and blood instantly dyed the snow red.
"Annie, get the Earth Dragon Beast back, now!" David yelled anxiously.
Hearing him, Annie hurriedly cast Contract Magic, recalling the Earth Dragon Beast to her side and healing its wounds.
However, their troubles were far from over.
At the very moment the Frost Titan launched its attack, a scorching rain of lava fire also poured down from the other side of the ravine.
That was a Flame Demon—another powerful creature of Tier Seven strength. Its body was formed of flowing lava, and blazing flames burned within its eyes.
Seeing this, Reina immediately unleashed her Ice Magic.
She summoned the Snow Demon Spirit and formed an indestructible Ice Shield, completely blocking the rain of lava fire.
However, this move also consumed a massive amount of her Spiritual Power. Her face instantly turned pale, and even a thread of blood seeped from the corner of her mouth.
"Reina, are you okay?" David asked with concern.
Reina shook her head and forced out a slight smile. "I’m fine, I can still hold on."
David knew this was not the time to fret over individual safety.
He had to quickly deal with these two powerful enemies and buy time for Fire Dance and Shuili to get close to the altar.
So he took a deep breath, and the Chaos Dragon Wolf Bloodline in his body began to boil.
His figure gradually swelled, finally transforming into a towering Chaos Dragon Wolf, radiating an aura that made one’s heart pound.
"Come on, let me see just how strong you really are!" David roared and charged at the Frost Titan and the Flame Demon.
The Frost Titan and the Flame Demon were clearly shaken by David’s presence, but they did not back down.
The Frost Titan swung its massive Ice Hammer, engaging David in a brutal close-quarters brawl;
while the Flame Demon continuously spewed torrents of lava fire from afar, trying to wear down David’s Physical Strength.
Relying on the overwhelming power of his Chaos Dragon Wolf form, David took the twin Lords’ attacks head-on.
His claws were sharp as blades; every swipe carved deep gouges into the Frost Titan’s Armor;
and his tail moved like a flexible whip, lashing again and again against the Flame Demon’s body.
Even so, the strength of the two Lords was nothing to scoff at. As time dragged on, David started to feel his strength failing him.
His body was covered in wounds, blood constantly seeping from the gashes.
But he still clenched his teeth and held on, because he knew he could not fall.
Finally, under David’s tenacious onslaught, the Frost Titan and the Flame Demon also began to show signs of fatigue.
They glanced at each other, as if reaching some unspoken agreement.
Then, they unleashed their most powerful attacks at the same time—the Frost Titan swung its Ice Hammer, condensing a gigantic pillar of ice and smashing it down toward David;
while the Flame Demon opened its jaws and spat out a scorching beam of lava.
Seeing this, a surge of grim resolve rose in David’s heart.
He drew a deep breath, gathering the power in his body to the Limit, then suddenly lunged forward to meet the twin Lords’ combined strike.
"Boom!" With a thunderous crash, the ice pillar and the lava beam collided right in front of David, erupting into a blinding light.
David was blasted away by the tremendous force, crashing heavily into the snow.
But his gaze remained firm, because he knew he had already bought enough time for Fire Dance and Shuili.
By now, Fire Dance and Shuili had reached the front of the altar.
They stared at the Divine Crystal that pulsed with mysterious light, their hearts full of anticipation.
Without hesitation, Fire Dance reached out her hand, wanting to touch the Divine Crystal.
