The Broken Halo

Chapter 530: Compression

Chapter 530: Compression

One must not forget that Simon was a Demi-God in his past life, and one of the abilities of a Demi-God was the ability to manipulate space.

This ability was crude and basic, but a Demi-God could manipulate space with their powers to a certain extent.

Due to how many battles and the talents he had in his first life, he knew quite a lot about space.

He understood space.

Unlike how a demon his age would be ’blind’ and oblivious on how to control space and understand it, Simon had no need to go through all of that.

This was the main reason why he was able to get extremely close to the silver crack with ease despite it distorting the space between them.

In his Chaos Flame Space, he could do things that he could not do in the real world.

He only needed the understanding and creativity to do them.

"This is the last element. Now I just need to compress my chaos flame."

Simon mumbled softly as he looked at what looked like a glass shard in his hand.

This was his spatial affinity, and after looking at it for a few seconds, he fed it to his Chaos Flame.

BOOM!

The moment Simon did this, a powerful shockwave reverberated across the entire Chaos Flame Space.

Simon’s hair fluttered to the back, but he did not take a single step back despite the shockwave that blew all across him.

His Chaos Flame shook wildly, and different colours could be seen streaking across the flame.

These colours represented his affinities, and with the introduction of space, the balance he forced upon the four elements was now broken.

Simon looked at it for a few moments before he took control of it once again.

’Five elements... Five elements is truly a lot of elements to have for a demon. Even in my past life, I don’t think I ever faced a demon that had an affinity for five elements.’

’I’m definitely still going to end up getting more elements in the future, and I can’t help but wonder what would happen if I eventually Devour all the elements.’

’Would there be a shocking revelation or would it still be the same?’

As Simon slowly but surely subdued his Chaos Flame and the five elements wrecking havoc in it, he could not help but have these thoughts.

About a minute later, his Chaos Flame was ’stable’ after his Will acted on it.

"Time for the next step."

Simon vanished from his Chaos Flame Space, and his perception appeared back in the real world.

He took a quick look at his surroundings with his eyes, ears, Shadow Sense, and his wind affinity.

When he sensed that none was around him, he nodded and continued his advancement.

He could feel that his Chaos Flame was on the verge of exploding and detonating.

It was like a volcano that was waiting to erupt with full force. Unfortunately for it, a tight lid which was his Will was tightly covering it.

Simon inhaled and exhaled deeply, then he closed his eyes and focused on his demonic heart.

He interacted with his Chaos Flame, then he began to compress it.

Because of how volatile his Chaos Flame was and because of the five elements in it, he had to be extremely careful.

Any small mistake can lead to his death.

Simon wrapped his Will around his Chaos Flame, and some seconds later, the Chaos Flame was slowly becoming a ball.

But he could not stop here.

He had to keep on compressing his Chaos Flame till it implodes on its own.

If he stopped, his Chaos Flame would definitely explode and he would be killed, even with UnholyRegeneration.

Simon kept on compressing his Chaos Flame for an unknown amount of time.

Sometimes, it felt like he had been doing this for hours.

Maybe even more than a day.

Unfortunately, he had to put all his concentration and focus on his Chaos Flame. If a demon was standing right in front of him, he would not notice.

And this was something he didn’t like considering his environment and current situation.

He had to breakthrough as quickly as possible.

The rivers of time kept on flowing without interruption, and Simon kept on compressing his Chaos Flame.

At this point, his Chaos Flame was now the size of a marble, but it showed no signs of imploding.

The pressure Simon was feeling at this point was immense.

It was so immense to the point that Simon was sweating profusely, making his clothes extremely wet.

Normally, a demon’s Chaos Flame would have imploded if it was the size of a marble, but Simon was different.

Not only does Simon’s Chaos Flame possess five elements, his Chaos Flame had been baptized and transformed by the true Chaos Flames.

His Chaos Flame was completely different compared to the Chaos Flame of other demons.

In terms of purity and density, it was much higher.

This is the reason why even Simon’s Chaos Flame became the size of a finger nail, it showed no signs of imploding.

At this point, Simon felt like he was trying to compress a star.

It was like trying to fold a piece of paper twenty times.

This was the immense pressure and struggle Simon was facing.

His Will was strong, but at this point, he was beginning to wonder if it was even enough. But such thoughts were snuffed out of his mind as quickly as they appeared.

Even if his Will was not enough, he would make it enough.

He was at the point of no return.

If he relaxed, his Chaos Flame would explode.

If he did nothing, his Chaos Flame would still explode.

So... he kept on compressing, and compressing, and compressing, and compressing.

... Till his Chaos Flame became the size of a single, perfectly rounded grain of fine sand.

The moment it became this small...

BOOM!

His compressed Chaos Flame imploded, and Simon shook violently as he felt a shockwave pass through every single aspect of his being.
