Before the aircraft landed firmly on the military apron, Arthur saw Caesar waving at them not far away, and blew a clear whistle.
"Come down with me and say hello."
After turning off the ignition, Arthur helped Vincent unbuckle his seat belt and stroked his hair.
Vincent looked a little confused, nodded obediently, and got off the aircraft after him.
"Hey, kid, call me brother."
Caesar greeted the children with a playful smile, while Dr. Durant beside him looked at them with interest.
"Vincent, this is Dr. Durant, and this is Uncle Caesar..."
Worried about being uncomfortable meeting strangers, Arthur held Vincent in his arms and looked down at his reaction as he introduced.
Vincent raised his face and looked at Arthur seriously for a while, then bowed politely to the two of them, showing a friendly smile.
"Wow, this kid is so cute."
Caesar, who had always been familiar with him, stepped forward, pinching and kneading that fair face: "Hey, why don't you talk, call brother!"
Vincent cast a look of help to Arthur, the eyes of an innocent deer were clean and clear.
"He can't speak. You move lightly." Arthur made a relief.
"Ha, he is so precious." Carter teased with great interest, rubbing the curly hair on top of Vincent's head randomly, and it turned into a bird's nest in a short while.
Bullying with his hands is not enough, and he still doesn't forget to tease children with words.
"Hey, look at the brother next to him. His name is Hill. He looks handsome. Tell me, is my Hill handsome or your Arthur. Don't answer? So Hill is handsome, right?"
Dr. Durant looked at the two who were fighting, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, his eyes soft: "Caesar, don't bully others."
Turning around, he asked Arthur beside him, "How did you bring him to such a dangerous place?"
Arthur shook his head helplessly:
"He doesn't want to stay at home, I can't help it."
Dr. Durant chuckled, and after a while, he calmed down and asked:
"Have you ever considered, what will happen to Vincent if your master comes back?"
Arthur was taken aback.
He wanted to find his master, and he didn't want Vincent to leave his side, but he never realized that these two wishes could not be fulfilled at the same time.
"If your master returns, it will be impossible for Vincent to stay by your side. So, are you still eager to find that person?"
Seeing Vincent who was bullied so helplessly that he could only stare back at him angrily, Arthur was left with a mess in his mind.
If it wasn't for Dr. Durant's reminder, he wouldn't have considered these issues at all.
During the time spent together, the lives of the two have already been closely integrated.I am used to sleeping with my child in my arms at night, I am used to him sticking to my side almost all the time, I am used to helping him prepare three meals and snacks, I am used to taking care of all the trivial things in life for him, I am used to being completely dependent on him and acting like a baby from time to time, I got used to his sweet kisses falling on my face.
If the master returns, will Vincent be kicked out...?
The one big and one young who were playing around seemed to have noticed the unusual serious atmosphere, so they stopped and looked at them quietly.Vincent's big clear eyes looked at him without blinking, as if patiently waiting for his answer.
After a moment of silence, Arthur's deep and determined voice sounded:
"No matter what happens, I will do everything in my power to protect him."
Dr. Durant smiled, took two steps forward and stood in front of Vincent, squeezed his hand affectionately, stroked his hair, and asked:
"Did you hear that? Are you happy?"
Vincent put on a big smile and nodded vigorously.
Caesar was about to make a few jokes when suddenly, the communicator on Dr. Durant's waist made a loud call.
Turning on the communicator and listening to a few words, Dr. Durant's gentle eyes instantly cooled down, his face became serious, and he turned and left.
"It's time for war, Caesar."
Caesar also put away his foolish attitude, quickened his pace to keep up with Dr. Durant, and waved at them.
"Go ahead!"
Arthur nodded, patted Vincent's little butt, and urged him to get on the aircraft: "Go up and sit down, I'm leaving too."
After Vincent climbed into the cockpit, Arthur set up the safety protection procedures of the aircraft while exhorting:
"The food is in the storage box. Take it yourself if you're hungry. I don't know when I'll be back, so you just stay here obediently. As long as this security protection program is on, no one can open the hatch. I understand. ?”
Vincent nodded resignedly.
"I am leaving."
The danger of the battlefield is calling him.Arthur, who has always been fearless, felt reluctant for the first time. He looked at Vincent's face for a long time, leaned forward to hold his head, kissed his hair, and then stepped off the aircraft .
Unexpectedly, before he stepped out of the tarmac, he received a reminder from the aircraft that someone had turned off the safety protection system.
Arthur's expression became serious, and he turned around and walked back.Arthur's expression became serious, and he turned around and walked back.
Not long after, he saw a child in the distance push open the hatch of the aircraft furtively, poked out a small head, turned his head and caught a glimpse of himself, and flinched back in panic.
Arthur felt pain in his temples, angry and ridiculous at the same time, his tone became uncontrollably severe, and he yelled at Vincent indiscriminately:
"Are you quite capable? Are you so impatient to go out and seek death?"
Vincent murmured, not knowing what to express.
He locked the child with the seat belt in a rude manner, couldn't suppress his anger, and threatened:
"I didn't bring you here to trouble me. If something like this happens again, you know the consequences yourself, understand?"
War is no joke.Bullets have no eyes, a weak and unarmed child, getting out of the aircraft is no different from committing suicide.
And Vincent's attitude of never taking life and death in his heart made him even more furious.
But what is the use of being angry with a mentally handicapped child?
He took a deep breath, suppressed his anger, raised the security level of the protection program, and closed the hatch without saying a word, without even looking at the little guy from the beginning to the end.
Vincent in the driver's seat finally realized that he was irritating, he huddled in the corner with his eyes downcast and did not move.
Arthur took a few steps angrily, and finally couldn't help but stop, turning around and looking back.
The little guy leaned on the driver's seat, closed his eyes tightly, and looked aggrieved, as if he had fallen asleep.
Arthur sighed, and walked towards the battlefield without looking back.
