On the third day, Rost still did not come back.
It was an injured Kerry who came back.
I think when he came back, his brain should have fallen into a semi-coma, purely because of his consciousness. So the car he was driving crashed into a building near us, and there was such a loud noise that we had to go over there and dig him out of the wrecked car.
Personally, I think he's a lucky guy, both from the point of view of him being so badly injured that he was able to drive back into a coma, and from the point of view of him crashing into a glass in a supermarket instead of the wall people.
Al and I carried him back and put him on the sofa.He appears to have suffered a gunshot wound, possibly to a lung.We didn't hear the gunshot, it should be a sneak attack, and the gun was installed.
Carrie was in a coma.He was sprawled out on the couch, looking like he was dripping blood all over him.
Al rushed to search for something to stop the bleeding amidst the mess.
I patted Kerry on the face, trying to wake him up.He looks very dangerous now, his chest heaves too much, his breathing is so hot, I always feel small blood foam flying out with his breathing.
"Carrie!! Can you hear Carrie?!"
He was painfully obsessed with his eyes.
At this moment, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the dog touching Kerry's bleeding hand with the tip of his nose, and trying to open his mouth to bite... I thought it might have thought the dying man was me And the food that Al brought back for it.
So I kicked it hard, "Go away! Idiot!"
It fell not far away, then quickly got up and curled up into a ball, crying out in mourning.
Al, who found the medical kit, ran back quickly, then violently picked up Carrie's clothes, and began to check whether the bullets were left in it...
"What's the matter?" Yiwei walked out of the room and was shocked when he saw this scene.
Al: "Come and help!"
Yiwei immediately came over. But in fact, he didn't play much role when he came here, he just watched from the side.
Al did emergency hemostasis, and then wrapped the wound with a bandage.
Everyone is nervous.
Kerry had brought the news he wanted to bring—there were enemies.
After Al finished processing, he sat down next to the sofa and sat on the ground.
He lit a cigarette and took a drag. "It's really bad."
I looked at his finger holding the cigarette, it was covered with blood, Kerry's blood.
We all feel the same way.Kerry has basically declared that Rost is dead.It is true that there are powerful enemies trying to encircle and suppress us, but our combat power is gradually shrinking.
Yiwei walked up and down the room irritably.
Al suddenly thought of something, "Ywei, go and kill that woman."
Yiwei stopped and asked in shock, "What?!"
Al looked up at Yiwei, "I don't want to say it a second time."
Yiwei was furious, "What if I say no?!"
Al shrugged, "Then I can't do anything, after all, I can't kill you at such a critical moment. But, you'd better think clearly."
If everyone can survive here, I am afraid that Yiwei will have a difficult time walking with Al in the future.
Yiwei was quiet and didn't answer anything. After a long time, the irritable Yiwei suddenly spit on the ground, and then returned to the room.
But we all know he didn't kill.I think at that time, he probably wanted to delay for another two days, enjoy the fun of torture more, and then kill.
The room suddenly fell silent.Kerry's breathing was unnaturally heavy.
We know nothing about the enemy. But the enemy has already removed our two combat powers.
None of us went out on patrol that day.It is no longer safe to go out on patrol.
Kerry didn't wake up, and at the same time, he didn't die——
I don't know if it's luck or misfortune.
We wait in vain. With only three of us left, we dare not try anything more.
I tried to cool Kerry's forehead with a wet washcloth, but it didn't seem to help.
Al sat next to me and reminded me not to waste my time.
"I just thought it might make him more comfortable," I replied.
Al looked at me from the side, and suddenly laughed jokingly, "You haven't understood yet, this person is already dead."
I subconsciously sniffed Kerry's breath, and I was still breathing.
Al laughed at my actions and said,
"Even if he wakes up now, do you think we have the energy to take him out of here alive?"
My whole thinking froze for a moment, and then I realized what Al meant by saying that this person was dead.
Even if he wakes up now, he will be abandoned by us and eaten by zombies.
"...cough...it's too heartless...Al..." A small voice sounded.
It's Kerry.
He seemed to have just woken up.
Al laughed, "If it's you, I think you can understand me."
"So... I like kittens more..." Kerry also said with a smile, pulling the wet towel off his forehead while talking.
"I keep the cat, and it's not up to you if you like it." Al took a puff of cigarette and replied calmly.
I re-wet the towel that Kerry had pulled down, and when I was about to put it on again, Kerry twisted his face dumbfoundingly and told me that the wet towel made him uncomfortable.
Al: "Is there anything you want to say?"
Kerry thought for a while, and replied seriously: "It hurts."
But before Al answered, Kerry got up serious and added the text, "Don't go out the front door easily, they have already come in. No one knows where they are ambush."
Al thought for a while, then turned around and asked with a smile, "You mean there are not many of them, and they want to test the way of ambush."
Carrie was silent. After all, he is not qualified to answer this question.
I turned around and got Kerry a bottle of water and gave him some to drink.
Then Kerry lay down again and closed his eyes.
Al sat beside him for a while, and suddenly asked, "Are you hungry?"
I didn't feel it at first, but when he said that, I really felt a little hungry. Then just nodded.
Al: "Then let's cook, I happen to be hungry too."
I:…………
Since I lived here, I basically cook and eat with all kinds of materials that I can get back from the supermarket every day.But to be honest, I haven't really done this kind of thing. If I think about it, it's basically Al who is doing it.
I sat still.Al beckoned to the dog huddled in the corner, and the dog immediately got up and came to him and nuzzled him.He stroked the dog's fur with his hand, and realized that I hadn't moved, so he turned his head and urged,
"go."
Me: "I can't cook."
Al: "No one will pick the fat and the thin, so go."
I glanced at Kerry, who was asleep and hopeful. Then he stood up and walked towards the kitchen hesitantly.
I don't know if Carrie will be alive when I get back.Of course, maybe Al really just wanted to eat, but I always felt like he was just trying to push me away.
Maybe they have something to say to Kerry, of course, maybe they just want to send Kerry on the road.
When I came to the kitchen, I roughly flipped through the materials. It is basically meat taken from the frozen warehouse of the supermarket, and there are no fresh ingredients at all.
But it’s okay, anyway, it doesn’t make any difference to me whether the ingredients are good or not.Even if you give me the best raw beef now, I can only make coke that even a beggar can't eat.
I directly put the large pieces of meat into smaller pieces with a dagger, put them directly into the pot, and add water. Then put it on the gas stove.
I rummaged around and found few other ingredients.Instead, I found half a box of biscuits, probably Al ate half of it while cooking here and left it here.
I imagined the image of Al holding half a biscuit in his mouth, and then lifted the lid of the pot with one hand and stirred it with a spoon with the other hand, and suddenly felt that this picture was inexplicably cute.
I popped a biscuit into my mouth - it wasn't crunchy at all, it was soggy.Although now I don't care as long as I eat, but when there are better choices, I still don't want to eat this.So I stuffed the rest of the cookies back into the cookie box and put them back where they belonged.
I looked around and found that there was nothing to do so I went out.
As soon as I walked out of the kitchen, I heard the two of them talking.
I get a little closer.
As a result, the sound disappeared immediately.
It was as if what I had just heard was hallucinations.
Then I heard something approaching—it was the dog.It came over, then met my eyes, looked at me sideways with its tongue out, then it turned its head and looked behind it, I guess he was looking at Al.
In desperation, I had no choice but to come out, and sure enough, when I came out of the corner, I met the eyes of Al and Kerry—Kerry had already sat up, with one hand on the back of the sofa, and turned her head to watch me come out.
The dog followed me forward and circled beside me, seemingly inexplicably happy. As much as I wanted to kick it, obviously it just exposed me, but I couldn't.
Al smiled: "So fast?"
I didn't speak.I hesitated, I know
Pragmatically, he changed his route and went to the room where Kerry and Rost were before.
Obviously, the two of them wanted to discuss something, in my absence.
Even though I'd love to know what the hell these two are talking about, I don't want to make it too obvious.Anyway, it's not going to kill me, they can't afford to lose anyone now.
What a drama. Not long ago I was afraid that they would kill me, I was so afraid that I couldn't sleep. But now I suddenly feel that there is nothing to be afraid of.
There is a single bed in the room. I don't know who was lying on this bed before Kerry and Rost, and I don't care about it.So I just sat on it.
Thinking back to Rost, the Christian who advocated "cannibalism" to survive.
I don't have a good impression of him.But I have to say, we've been in a mess since he died.
Of course, that was my thought at the time.If I could know what happened later, I think, I should pray that Rost died sooner.
